About Us

Dr Peter Worthington

Peter, a professional statistician, developed his interest in Dr Deming's management philosophy in the early 1980s while serving in the Royal Air Force. Afterwards, he established the Central Quality Improvement Network at Keele University - a forum for companies interested in Total Quality.

For the past seven years he has been a director of PRISM Consultancy Ltd, and latterly with PRISM Europe. He has worked with:

1987 - 1993 Consultant in Statistical Methodology to Michelin Tyre (UK) plc
3M (UK) : the application of systems and statistical thinking to the sales and marketing division
1991 - 1992 the Employment Service : the implementation of Deming’s management method to the West Midlands Employment Service
1993 - ICI : the application of process improvement and statistical thinking to Chlor-Chemicals division
1992 - 1994 Tandberg Data (Oslo) : the application of systems and statistical thinking in order to develop a systems approach to their business
1993 - Coca-Cola Schweppes Beverages : the application of systems thinking to develop a systems approach to their Distribution, Process Improvement Methodology and Experimentation
1997 & 1999 : consultant in reliability analysis to Rockwell & Valeo

Dr Richard Worthington

Richard Worthington joined PRISM Europe after finishing his doctorate. He had been working on the commercial Statistical Process Control software for about five years, which then evolved into the popular WinChart^® software. He has been involved in presenting seminars on Statistical Process Control since joining PRISM Europe. He has also presented short seminars on the application of Statistical Process Control and interpreting data, both in the United Kingdom and abroad.
